Drawing from their work in marine pollution research, Liboiron turns this critique toward science itself. The book asks researchers to consider who has the authority to collect samples, define environmental problems, produce knowledge, and determine acceptable levels of harm. In doing so, it demonstrates that research methods are not separate from questions of ethics, power, and responsibility.
